Locker Room Policy - Only children 4 years and under are allowed in the opposite gender **locker room**. A special needs dressing room is available. *Please lock up all valuables or leave them at the front desk. Lockers are for day use only. **Boy’s and Girl’s Locker room**
Youth Policy - Children 12 years old and under must have a parent in the building unless they are in an organized activity.
Dress Policy - Shoes and shirts must be worn in the gym, fitness center and other indoor activities.
Pool Policy - Shower before entering the pool. No cutoffs. Children ages 6 and up can come to the pool without a parent during Family Recreational Swim Time if they can pass the swim test and if the parent stays within the building.
Guest Policy - As a Member, you are able to bring in a LOCAL RESIDENT OF BEAUFORT COUNTY for one visit only as a guest for the express purpose of investigating the purchase of their own membership. Guest registration is required prior to participation in any/all YMCA program(s), activity or use of facility. After the one time guest visit, the individual will be required to purchase their own membership. As a Member, you are able to bring your OUT OF BEAUFORT COUNTY guest(s) for a fee of $5.00 per person/per visit for an unlimited number of visits. Guest registration is required. Members age 13-15 are allowed one guest only per visit for a fee of $5.00. Members age 16 or older are allowed two guests per visit for a fee of $5.00 each. Members under the age of 13 are not allowed in the facility without a supervising adult that is also on an active membership.
Fitness Center Policy - As a safety precaution, children under the age of 13 are not permitted in the fitness center. Children ages 13-15 may use the fitness center if their parent or guardian is in the fitness center with them.
A.W.A.Y. Program - The YMCA of Beaufort County is proud to announce that we now participate in the national A.W.A.Y. (Always Welcome at YMCAs) Program. When planning a trip, we have a directory that lists all participating YMCAs and their policies. See the front desk for more details.
