Fitness.

The YMCA offers a wide variety of aerobic classes with many benefits, including muscular and cardiovascular training. We have morning and evening classes to ensure that you will be able to find a class to suit your schedule.

All land aerobics classes take place in the gymnasium on our flex-air suspended hard wood floor!

INTERVAL - A class that has periods of high intensity and periods of low intensity. The class format consists of intervals of step aerobics and weights.

STUDIO CYCLING (SPINNING) - An indoor cycling class that is fun, effective, and challenging for the beginner and the advanced. You control the resistance, speed, and intensity. Please inform the instructor if you are new so that she/he can set you up appropriately.

STEP - A challenging and fun aerobics class that consists of optional high and low impact exercise combinations using the bench.

YOGA - Appropriate for beginners as well as intermediate and advanced who want to focus on the foundations of yoga posture and alignment.

ATHLETIC CHALLENGE - This class is considered advanced. It incorporates plyometrics, step and weight training. This is a full body workout that will get your heart rate up and make you sweat.

PILATES - An exercise method that works the core muscle group to develop strength, improve posture and body awareness, increase flexibility, and improve muscle imbalances.

CORE CONCEPTS - No impact but high intensity use of core muscles. This exercise method will work the core muscles to support and elongate the spine.

TAI CHI - Seeks to improve range of motion by improving flexibility and strengthening muscles involved with good posture and balance.

SCULPT - Toning that focuses on a variety of muscle groups (45 minutes).

DOUBLE STEP - Double the fun! Step aerobics using two benches. Sure to get your heart rate up.

ZUMBA & ZUMBA KIDS - 1 hr. class of Latin and hip-hop dance. SALSA YOUR WAY INTO SHAPE.

KICKBOXING - Cardio kickboxing classes work to improve your overall fitness by combining aerobics drills, punching and kicking.

CARDIO/CORE - Hi and lo intensity for the first half of class then finish up with core (abs and back).

Wellness Center.

The fitness facility and classes at the YMCA are geared towards improving the health & wellness for the total spirit, mind and body. Our facility houses free weights, Quantum single and combination centers, and ample cardio equipment including treadmills, recumbent bikes, stair steppers, and elliptical trainers.

Fitness center attendants are on duty during peak hours and supervising staff is available during all operational hours to assist members in achieving their fitness goals, along with answer any questions they might have.
