Interested in becoming a lifeguard?
The course provides the knowledge & skills needed to become a certified senior lifeguard. Individuals must attend all scheduled class days and have total participation. Students must pass both the written & physical tests for national YMCA certification.
LIFEGUARD CLASS 2017
Next Lifeguard class is April 20-23 + April 29-30. 2017. The class hours break down as follows:
April 20: (swim test) 7-8 pm; April 21: 4 pm – 9 pm; April 22: (8 am – 5 pm); April 23: (1 pm – 5 pm); April 29: (8 am -5 pm); April 30: (1 pm -5 pm)
Must meet minimum qualifications (below).

Essential Prerequisites: minimum age 16 and must be a very strong swimmer.
Individual must be able to pass a ¼ mile swimming test using various strokes, survival floating, treading water. CPR (adult, child, & infant), First Aid, AED and O2 certification preferred prior to class.
**CPR/First Aid Class will be included at no cost if student is not currently certified. The CPR class will be in addition to the regularly scheduled lifeguard courses.
